yes jakeyboy i understand what gerneral purpose grease is. but my question is how can i put it in throught the soft plughole? are is there some other way to put it in? i am thinking iam going to get some jb weld and try to seal the leak buy just leaving the soft plug in place. please advise as i need a little help and you have the exsprenance and knolege. thanks robert

Get a tube of grease or buy a syringe and fill it with grease and squirt in the hole.

JB weld doesn't stick to rubber very well.  I would remove the plug and replace with just JB weld.  If you want to leave the plug in place, get a high strength epoxy that works with metal.  Again home depot is the place to get.

shove in a wooden dowel and the moisture will make it swell!

thanks jakieboy1. tryed rvt silcone the stuff withh not dry troughly the cent say soft and mushy. i tryed the jb weld tick well what do you know the problrem is fixed . no leak no noise chair is runing great and shoud last for quite awhile. robert
