What features will the MK6i firmware update add to a TDX SP delivered March 2008?

I'll check... I'm in the 3G Arrow at present.
I have not updated the software.
It is the version that came with the TDX SP in early 2008.

Each firmware upgrade deals with new options/electronics that have come available.  If you aren't adding anything new, you don't need the new firmware.

For example: the Infrared unit and the attendant control came to market after vs 1.6. If you were to add either option, you would need to upgrade the firmware to 1.8 or higher.  The new color MPJ joystick will need vs 2.0.

When is the new 2.0 firmware coming out??  Will the new 2.0 firmware make the microne displays have the new look and features as the new color display??

Thanks,
Kirk

I think 2.0 will be available when the color display  is launched.

The 2.0 firmware will only do you any good if you have the color joystick/display....

I just got the MK6i programmer and it says the version is 1.3.1 - where can I get the latest version? What is the latest version?

The programmer is a different animal then the chair.

The lastest version for the programmer is 1.3
The lastest version for chairs is 1.9

Your chair might need to be updated.  Plug the pro card into the MPJ joystick, turn on chair and see if the screen says "new firmware available".

I put the Pro SD card in the joystick control box and it said version 1.10.0 was available so I did that update. The Pro card had "ver. 0" hand written on the card. Not sure what that means.

Is there a way to update the MK6i programmer display unit as well? Mine shows that it's 1.3.1.

Is it okay to use the programmer box for all changes instead of the joystick box? It's difficult for me to look down at the joystick box.

You pro card has version 2.0

The latest version for the programmer is version 1.3.1 (read previous posts)

Using the programmer or the joystick to make changes work the same.  Using the programmer is easier...

Okay. If I use the programmer to make changes, do I need to put the Pro SD card in the slot on the programmer when using it?

You do not "have" to put the card in the slot on the programmer.

However, with the pro card in the slot, you will be able to access the "help" file.  I always leave my pro card in the slot.

Hello jakeyboy1,
It seems that you are the snake killer for issues with electronics as far as the Invacare boards go. I am looking for some education regarding the MK6i remote programmers, the one I have has version 1.2 software and I looked to see if there was an updated version. I found version 2.2.2 on the Invacare support page. Is that for the MK6 joystick only? Or will that work to upgrade the remote programmer? Also, I am seeing the “Pro Card” is needed to down load the upgrade. Can I just get an SD card and find the program & data files available to create my own Pro Card?
Any help would be wonderful. Thanks, compmc
