Invacare Equipment: Old Ranger and a new Torque.

I got an Invacare Torque with Tilt and Recline back in October. Previously, I was using a 10-11 year old Ranger with Tilt only.
I hate that this newer model is sooooooo slow when Tilting back and forth. In comparison with my Ranger's tilt, it is 2 & 1/2 times slower. I had the technician check it, and it was set to 100%. I had him set it to 50% just to test it and it was hardly noticeable that it was moving.
Was there a reason why they changed to such a slow motor, and if there was need for some to tilt slower, why not just turn their speeds down?
